Age UK Bury run a Befriending service which is split between three areas as below:

Telephone Befrienders who will call socially isolated people and keep in touch every week, volunteers phone either from the Jubilee Centre or from home.

Face to Face visits where the volunteer visits people in their homes.

Mobile befrienders who use their own cars to transport people, with no other means of transport, to appointments or events.
