A group for concerned others of a loved one struggling with drugs/alcohol. Support is via sharing experiences in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment. We also offer guidance and can sign post for appropriate courses, to further support members/build up resilience. Bringing members together to enjoy recreation and friendships, to rebuild social contact and prevent isolation. Objects :-To provide help and support to members by sharing experiences and discussing coping strategies. To educate people in areas relevant to our issues. To work with health care agencies to widen the awareness and roles of concerned others. To make available guidance and relevant training to support members to build up their resilience. To promote the health and wellbeing of individual carers. Share information with each other. Encourage carers to join the group by promoting at events. To encourage/develop mutual support for members. Work with other groups who support the aims of C.O.P.S.
